![]() ![]() ![]() In a statement, Steinberg said this about bringing Wavelab to the Mac: “We’re proud that WaveLab’s superior feature set is now available for the Mac platform. Since 1995, from version one to six, WaveLab has been available only for Windows. WaveLab’s user interface has been completely redesigned, now featuring powerful workspace management, customizable toolbars and an in-application help system. For the first time, Wavelab is available for both Mac and PC. AFAIK, it also has to be done during the installation to be completely effective.Steinberg has officially released Wavelab 7, the latest version of its popular audio editing and mastering suite. It was based on the decrapifier script from SpcieWorks, but it's simpler. If anyone's interested, I'll work with him writing a more generic procedure. For example, there is no way to start Cortana on my computer. But, I also had an MCSE friend available during the install to remove a lot of the BS and define a Group Policy that blocks even more. Following the semi-annual channel (not targeted) and setting it to delay feature updates avoids basically all of the problems people have found over the last year or so until they're fixed. MS has pushed out some very stupid updates that broke things. Win 10 is a fine compromise to run real audio applications. I still vastly prefer *nix, just not Apple anymore. There are weird things and things I hate, but stability has not been a problem. But, I've actually been relatively happy with Win10, even after years of OS X and Linux. That is too bad, my studio computer is rock solid and I'm loathe to change anything.Īccording to the talk on FB, wl10 is a separate install to 9.5, so no problem there.Awesome.Īnd, I get that. ![]()
